Critical Illness Cover Insurance
You should also be aware that some life insurance companies require you to survive for at least 28 days following the date of diagnosis before the policy will pay out. Your chosen Life Company provides all these details within their "Key Feature Document" (see above).
Many life insurance companies offer policies that cover you for both death and serious illness. If you decide to select one of these combined policies, you should bear in mind that if you contract a critical illness and claim, you will normally be unable to claim the lump sum on death.
